Highlights from The Allan Lee Collection Featured Online

The online database of the National Postal Museum, Arago has a beautiful display map stamps from the collection of Allan Lee. Allan, as some of our long time members will remember, was instrumental in the support and guidance to the fledgling Society.
Part of the Smithsonian, the National Postal Museum has a wealth of material available online.

The exhibit, edited by Ms. Mary Lawson of the NPM, displays a number of stamps from Allan's collection in the form of well presented, interactive screens. The exhibit and text are presented very professionally, using Flash or HTML. Those of you with computer access should take a look at this wonderful resource.

March 2005: Society Announcement : New Editor of the NCP
Unfortunately, Bill Critzer has decided to retire from the editorship of The New CartoPhilatelist (NCP). Bill, along with Alf, were indispensable in getting the CartoPhilatelic Society up and running again. Bill has edited the Journal from our Society's reorganization through this the 9th issue. I know everyone agrees that the NCP is a quality publication worthy of our Society and is a true benefit to the membership.
Bill, thanks for your commitment and superb job as Editor! We will miss you!
Although Bill will be leaving, we are very fortunate that Dan Nelson has agreed to become Editor effective with the 10th (July 2005) issue. With Bill's assistance, I am sure Dan will not miss a beat in the transition.
Dan's own web site, danstopicals.com contains a wealth of information on stamps of various topics including maps. Dan has been a frequent contributor to the NCP as well as our web site.
Welcome Dan!
And thanks for becoming the NCP Editor!
Read more about Dan's collecting interests and background in our "President's Column'" in the forthcoming 9th (April 2005) Issue of the NCP.
