This unique project displays words from old books which after scanning and processing by a computer still cannot be correctly deciphered. These words are then sent to the web and displayed in the recaptcha box. So every time you help correctly enter the words, you are helping to digitize old books. Sometimes the words are a bit difficult but you can request new words to be displayed by clicking the recycle button or if you cannot see the words, please try the audio button and listen to them. The window is a popup, so if you have any popup blockers, you should set them to allow popups from our web site.
