Overview of the ArchiveThis is the secure archive site for current members of the CartoPhilatelic Society to download full issues of the New CartoPhilatelist (NCP) Journal. The journals are stored as Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be downloaded by saving the PDF file to your own computer. If you are new to using PDF files, you can find more information and download the Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader on the Adobe Systems web site. These versions of the NCP are the same as what the Society distributes to members who have opted to receive the NCP Journal via email, however their names have been changed when they are placed in the secure archive. Archive SecurityPresently, this archive is password protected. The password will be changed periodically, and current members of the Society will be informed of the new password. At this time, printing of the NCP Journals has been restricted, so you can only read them electronically on the computer. Access to the ArchiveTo access the archive, press on the large "Enter the Archive" button shown below. Enter the username and password as described in the July 2009 issue No. 26 of the New CartoPhilatelist Journal. If you have any questions, contact the web administrator. After logging into the archive, the journals are accessed through a dropdown list. After selecting the group of journals, the screen will be updated with small "thumbnail" images of the selected journals. The image on the right shows a section of the real archive. A left click on a thumbnail of a journal will open a pop-up with a larger image of the cover, and a listing of the contents of the journal. This is the area indicated by the red box. Another left click on the underlined link showing the number of the journal and issue month, as shown in the blue box, will allow the journal pdf file to be opened or saved to your computer.
