The CartoPhilatelic Society has now entered our 54th year as a Society! In 1955 a group of philatelists with a keen interest in map stamps founded the CartoPhilatelic Society. Today we carry on their passion for map stamps in the collections we assemble and the research we conduct.

Overview of the Society
The CartoPhilatelic Society was formed to promote the collection and study of stamps relating to maps and cartography. Founded in 1955, it was reorganized in 2002 after being dormant for a few years.
Membership in the Society provides several benefits to help you enjoy collecting Maps on Stamps. Our quarterly journal, The New CartoPhilatelist, contains interesting articles in each issue, as well as providing details of Society News and Events. Status on the Society projects such as the Checklist, and selected new issue information and images are regularly included.

 Our new Membership Form is available as a PDF. You can download a copy for printing. Please fill it out and send it along with your payment, to our Secretary-Treasurer at the address provided on the form.

Bylaws of the CartoPhilatelic Society
During 2005, the Society made revisions to a set of bylaws which are used to guide and govern the Society. These bylaws were submitted to the membership for comments.
